Baltimore is a city on the brink. A powerful ley line runs through the center of the city, and a number of supernatural factions want to get their hands on its power. The war between the ghouls and the fae is heating up, and a few savvy mortals have come into their own. Old Man Montrose, the wizard who used to protect the city from all the things that go bump in the night, is dead, and if you believe it was of natural causes I have a lovely bridge to sell you.
The thriving tourist trade wars with gang activity in other parts of the city, and while the cultural districts and club districts are relatively upscale, urban decay dominates pockets of the city. Changelings, magic-users, faeries, vampires, shapeshifters psychics and more inhabit the city, most of whom are more than willing to fight for their little piece of it.
... and Baltimore is worth fighting for.
Torch is an RPG based on the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher, set in Baltimore. It follows the approved canon of the tabletop roleplaying games rulebooks, and takes place shortly after Small Favor. You do not need to be familiar with the books or television show to play. We have 30 "canons" or pre-made characters, and encourage creativity in the application process. We are very plot-oriented, and have a strong reward system for roleplay and community involvement.
